Beautiful Terrible

In part 2, the bus arrives in the outskirts of Heaven and the narrator tries to cope with beauty in it’s rawest form.

climb up to the mountain top
see creation laid below
stand an inch from life to death
where the sands of time won’t flow

Have you ever seen a grass so green
it cuts you clean it two
Have you ever felt a sky so blue
it felt like it was crushing you

It’s beautiful
It’s terrible

Walk along a distant shore
where the waters only heal
Let the wonder trickle down
and know again what is real

Has a night ever seemed so bright
that it’s light was turned to day
Has a moment ever felt so real
that all else fell away

Has a day ever dawned so fair
you had to turn your eyes away
Has a beauty ever pierced your heart
that there were no words left to say

I always looked
But I’d never seen
